Bill becomes enraged at Jinny's behavior concerning Brian and Yuu and in anger slaps her at the beach house (now who didn't want to do this before?) Maybe that slap knocked some sense into that blonde head because she finally realizes her love for him. Vavoom, they are a couple.

Bill is Yuu's roommate in college. He is a serious guy who loves looking at the stars through his telescope. Everyone thinks he is gay as he never shows an interest in girls. When Anju joins their group (she is in New York for her heart condition) Bill immediately is interested in her. One would think he wants a relationship, but he seems to see the part in her that is longing for a love that is out of reach. She sees this in him and they are instant friends. They each confide in the other their situation and give advice.
