After graduation, she moved to the United States and became a tour guide in New York City. One day she had a chance encounter with Kijima and he remembered her from all those years ago. The two married and returned to Tokyo where she set up an import store with her brother.

Kijima Rei is the owner of an K's Coop, the store where Miki works. She went to high school at Toryo with Namura, Ryoko, and Keiji, but was so shy that she never talked to them.
