Marmalade Boy Episode 9
Arbeit Koi no shoubu ha uriage shidai!
Part-time Job.  The war of love depends on sales!

In the school library, Meiko is reading Miki's exchange diary about 
how she sometimes hate herself for being jealous of Arimi and Ginta 
since Yuu is so kind to her.  Meiko thinks back to when Miki 
mentioned that Na-chan and Ryoko-sensei looked good together.  
Suddenly she realizes that she is not alone in the library.  
She turns around to see the student body president staring at her.
He if she is waiting for anyone and she says no.  He hits on her
with some really lame pick up lines.  She immediately packs up her
things and leaves.  She tells him that she knows him and he asks
her out on a date.  Her answer is the door slamming behind her.

Outside Ryoko-sensei asks Namura-sensei to meet her later after
school.

Ginta remembers the pact he made with Arimi.  He regrets making that
pact because it has hurt his relationship with Miki.

Yuu catches Miki at her locker and asks her if she has practice.  
Since they are doing maintenance on the court, she is free.  He
then asks her to help out at the Junk Jungle for their sale.  
Before she can answer she finds herself in an apron at the store.
Both Yuu and the boss are impressed with her skill with the 
customer.  All of a sudden, an anonymous girl flies out of the
dressing room and calls to Yuu to ask about how she looks in her
outfit.  Miki is immediately jealous.  About 5 other girls do the
same.  She is in shock about his popularity.  The boss asks Miki
if she would like to keep working there.  Yuu promptly objects 
because some guy might try to pick her up.  She is pleased with
his response as it shows he cares for her.  They joke around for
a moment and then go back to work.  Miki turns around to see
Ginta and Arimi enter the store.  They are on a date and wanted
to check out the sale.  Miki is obviously depressed.

Rokutanda enters the scene and immediately confronts Ginta for 
being on a date with Arimi.  People in the store begin to stare
at the scene.  He notices Yuu and becomes even more angry.

[Eyecatch]

Enraged, Rokutanda begins to embarrass Ginta in front of everyone
at the store telling them things he did in his childhood.  Ginta
becomes enraged and it is apparent that problems are brewing.
Realizing that a fight is about to break out, the boss proposes
a way for them to settle the problem.  They will have a contest
and whomever sells the most clothes wins their love.

Namura-sensei and Ryoko-sensei happen to stroll by the store on
there afternoon off.  They see their students and are curious
about the "fight."  He is carrying flowers for her?

Once again, Rokutanda announces there has to be a penalty for 
the loser.  He must shave his head like a monk.  All the people 
in the shop are gossiping about the contest.  The guys are 
helping anyone who happens to be in the area...sometimes not
very successfully.

The boss and Namura-sensei and Ryoko-sensei are old high school
friends.

Meiko walks by the store with Miwa in close pursuit.  She stares
in the window only to see Namura-sensei and Ryoko-sensei 
looking happy.  She is shocked and runs off.  Miwa tries to 
follow.

The contest is over and Rokutanda has lost again.  Everyone is
happy because the sale was a great success.

Miki and Yuu walk home together only to find luggage at their
front door.  Their parent have forgotten to tell them that they
are going on vacation tomorrow.  This means Yuu and Miki will 
be alone in the house together while they are gone.  Miki
immediately begins to worry.
