Marmalade Boy Episode 10 Our First Night...Surprise in the Bathroom Miki and Yuu's parents depart VERY suddenly for a Hawaii trip, Miki writes to Meiko in the exchange diary, leaving her and Yuu alone for the weekend. Miki allows her mind to wander, thinking romantic thoughts of Yuu and her together, alone... [Title] The parents leave early in the morning, with Rumi leaving Yuu a credit card. The still bed-dressed Miki and Yuu simply stare at the closed door. When the two are dressed and ready to face the day, Yuu walks into the television room and begs Miki to make him breakfast, pulling on her ponytail. Finally, she gives in--making "40% stirfry", according to Yuu's criticism. He says that she's just as bad a cook as her mother. However, when Miki becomes upset, he counters with, "But you're so cute when you cook." Miki shuts up immediately, but resolves to do her best to cook them a good dinner. They decide to go grocery shopping. While grocery shopping, Miki goes completely overboard with the food. When walking home, Miki idly wonders if people think that she and Yuu are a couple. When they stop at a crosswalk, Yuu complains that Miki bought too much food, and she teases him about being weak. He proves her wrong by picking her up with one arm. Kijima, Yuu's boss, runs into them at the crosswalk, and chides Yuu for dating Miki when off of work (having taken the time off of work because of the lack of parents). Yuu explains that they were just going grocery shopping, and explains to Miki that he took time off because he didn't feel right leaving her at home by herself when his work hours were so uncertain. Kijima leaves, and Miki thanks Yuu for his consideration. "It wasn't because I wanted to," he counters, and Miki simply smiles at his tease. The two go to a cafe for a drink. Back home, Miki's dinner quickly becomes a failure, and Yuu rushes to the rescue, cooking a delicious dinner for the both of them. He says that he doesn't cook because it's too much trouble, and that Miki should learn to cook because she's a woman. Miki keeps in good spirits despite his remarks, and cleans up the dinner dishes. After dinner, Yuu takes Miki's hand and suggests that they watch a movie. He goes to get it, and Miki's mind wanders, leading her to question if the movie is pornographic. When Yuu turns out the lights, she becomes nervous. [Eyecatch] Yuu comes downstairs completely and touches Miki's shoulder. She runs from him and demands to know what he is doing, throwing stuff at him to fend him away. He claims that he thought the movie--Friday on Elm Street--would be scarier with the lights out. They watch the movie, Miki becoming scared and clutching onto Yuu. She forgets the movie and simply admires his profile. After the movie, Miki goes up to her room and lies down with Ka-chan before deciding to take a bath. She walks into the bathroom and in on Yuu taking his shirt off--he jokingly calls her a pervert, and that she's welcome to join him. She whacks him on the head with her towel, and goes to stand on her balcony, looking at the stars. When she goes back down again, she goes into the bathroom, telling Yuu not to peek in on her. Miki locks the door behind her and undresses, and bathes, thinking that she was too nervous to enjoy her time alone with Yuu. She thinks about walking in on the shirtless Yuu, and his remark, "It's okay with me if you come in." When she finally gets out of her long bath, she is overheated and soon collapses in her towel, hitting over her bath supplies. Yuu hears the noise and breaks the door open, picking her up and calling her name. [Song: Moment] Yuu's voice carries over to Miki's dream, where she runs to him and hugs him. Yuu's face soon becomes Ginta's. Arimi appears, telling Miki to give Ginta back. When Miki is hesitant, Arimi demands Yuu before disappearing. Miki's parents' words ring in her ears: "It really doesn't matter, does it?" "That's right. You don't have to force yourself to decide." "Don't be such a baby." "Sure, let's just go with the flow." Miki slowly regains consciousness, remembering nothing, and when she realizes that she's naked except for a towel, with Yuu watching over her, she slaps him, covering her body with the covers.
